Description
This course – realized with Ferno – will show you how to proceed with the immobilization procedure in the case of a pediatric trauma patient.
You will see how to provide a correct spinal movement restriction, following international guidelines and local handling protocols. The course will allow you to thoroughly analyze the peculiarities of the pediatric cervical collar, and pediatric immobilization systems, from their application to their removal. All devices can be used in combination with devices for adult patients such as the spinal board or the SCOOP stretcher.
The course provides a thorough formation to better understand how to use the devices provided on your ambulances. The lessons do not enable the execution of pediatric immobilization practices on traumatic patients. Upon passing the final tests will be issued a certificate of participation.
